    Our Waterloo based not-for-profit client is seeking an experienced Sales and Events Manager with extensive experience in proactive sales development from a conference and meetings environment.  This outstanding opportunity involves securing sales from new and existing clients as well as managing event logistics with the operational team.  Attractive benefits include 25 days holiday, pension etc.  Hours 9am - 5pm or 10am - 6pm.
    Essential requirements within this Sales and Events Manager role include:
    • Degree level education or equivalent in Business Admin or Marketing
    • Extensive experience of structured sales, business development methodologies and systems
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
    • Extensive experience in proactive sales development and maximising business opportunities
    • Experience within conference or meetings
    • Experience of relationships and account management, marketing and sales in a commercial or corporate environment
    • Track record of delivering and closing new business and effectively managing commercial bid proposals
    • Experience of identifying new market opportunities
    • Excellent communication skills
    Key objectives within this Sales and Events Manager role include:
    • Growing the conference and meetings business through proactive selling and converting enquiries into sales
    • Targeting new business for the conference and meetings business across the charitable, government, agency and corporate sectors
    • Increasing revenue from existing clients through repeat business
    • Ensuring all services provided meeting clients’ needs and that events are run efficiently
